Biography
Lianne advises Dutch and international clients on data, IT and technology related topics. As such, her work includes, among other things, advising on the design and implementation of GDPR compliance plans, drafting privacy agreements and advising on direct marketing campaigns. Lianne believes in pragmatic, business minded advice and she is a true team player.
Background
Lianne is admitted to the bar since 2020. She worked at a renowned internationally operating law firm, focusing on privacy, IT, media and IP. Prior to her career as a lawyer, Lianne worked at a successful technology start-up as a legal counsel.
Lianne has always had a special interest in ever fast evolving technology law, more specifically in combination with human rights. She therefore did a Master's degree in Law and Technology from the University of Tilburg and the Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology and Society (TILT). During her studies in Tilburg, Lianne also studied philosophy of law and political science at the San Jose State University in California, USA and political science and China studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
Her experience as a lawyer, coupled with her practical experience, have established her as a competent advisor. She is dedicated to ensuring that organisations are well-equipped to meet the various legal challenges they may encounter in the field of data and the law.

Lianne is a member of the Netherlands Association for Information Technology and Law (“NVvIR”) and the Association for Young Privacy Lawyers (“Jonge Privacy Advocaten Nederland”).
