Screening of Total Trust – film about privacy
Martijn Poulus joined a Q&A session to discuss ‘Total Trust’, a film about digital control and privacy.
On Monday 13 November 2023, Movies That Matter On Tour screened the film ‘Total Trust’ at Louis Hartlooper Complex in Utrecht.
“Total Trust takes a visceral look at digital control in China where unprecedented levels of state surveillance prevail through trust, fear, obedience and resistance. It aims to explore the changes of social behaviors caused by an all-seeing society and finds its lasting power in the people who are fighting against the abuse of state power.”
Following the screening, Martijn Poulus discussed the film in a Q&A session together with Joyce Man, policy officer at Amnesty International. The discussion focused on surveillance, privacy, and datasecurity in China vs the European Union.
